A letter from the Founder about three new products
Hello, Flippers and pre-Flippers.
We are now preparing the following three new products. Today, I would like to share where we are now.
iruka X
First, iruka X is the first iruka with external gears, a lightweight performance model 1 kg lighter than the existing models. Keeping the side profile and folding structure the same, we made 9-speed external gearing possible by using a newly developed asymmetric rear frame and an ultra-long-cage derailleur for tri-fold bicycles such as iruka and Brompton.

iruCandle
Second, iruCandle is an adapter that allows Brompton and Rixen & Kaul carrier attachments to be mounted on the Coupler that comes standard under the saddle of iruka. It can also be used on bicycles other than iruka if you attach a separately purchased Coupler to the saddle rails. So it makes it possible to mount Brompton and Rixen & Kaul bags behind the saddle of almost any bicycle. Oh, I would not recommend it for bicycles with carbon saddle rails.

iruka Kickstand
Finally, iruka Kickstand is, if I may say so, a very normal kickstand mounted on the left rear end. Still, because it is our product, of course it is properly done. The height is adjustable, and it does not interfere with folding.

Perhaps because we have been sharing information on social media and exhibiting prototypes at test ride events and other occasions, we have received quite a few inquiries about the release dates and pricing.
It is of course iruka X that draws attention, but I have also honestly been surprised by how strong the reaction to iruCandle has been. It seems people wanted to put a bag there even more than I thought. As for iruka Kickstand too, many people have told us at events, “We were waiting for this.”
Originally, we had planned to release these three new products together this spring, but production of iruka X has been delayed. I believe we will be able to start shipping it within the season called summer in the Northern Hemisphere, but for the detailed schedule, I would like to ask you to wait a little longer.
On the other hand, iruCandle and iruka Kickstand are already ready for the first shipment. So we decided to release iruCandle and iruka Kickstand first. Since people want them sooner, there is no reason not to release the products that are ready.

One more thing for customers in Japan.
Due to rising costs in many areas, we plan to raise the domestic retail prices of the existing iruka S and iruka C at the same time as the launch of iruka X.
iruka S: JPY 269,800 (current price JPY 254,800)
iruka C: JPY 209,800 (current price JPY 199,800)
This means that the current prices for S and C will remain only until X is launched. To say it frankly, for those who have been considering the purchase of S or C, this is one opportunity.
Since it is not clear how long S and C will stay at their current prices, deciding now may not be easy. Still, I hope you will keep this in mind.
